The Acavallo Arena AluPro Safety Stirrup is a revolutionary stirrup iron. The stirrup bow is made from aluminum while the opening arm and stirrup pad is made of a special polyamide material. Stainless steel is featured on the stirrup tread for additional security. The unique stress actuated locking and release mechanism is located between the lower end of the outer branch of the pivoting stirrup arm and the foot support. This stirrup features easy and reliable “one-click” re-engagement of the stirrup arm once released. The construction and design of this iron conveys a less rigid and much more comfortable feeling to the rider than with conventional heavy stainless-steel stirrup irons. The springing stirrup bow, and foot support is capable of absorbing and compensating for short term sudden impacts which are exerted through the riders’ weight (such as posting or jumping) making these irons more comfortable to the rider. These stirrups also offer relief to the sole of the foot, ankles, knees and hips which make them a good option for those suffering with orthopedic problems.
